How to Cancel Your Ticket
Open ticket
Open the DB Navigator app or go to bahn.de and log in.
Find booking
Navigate to "My Bookings" and select the ticket to cancel.
Request cancellation
Click "Cancel" and confirm the process.
Receive refund
Refund is processed to your original payment method (3-5 business days).
Compensation for Delays
For delays, you are entitled to compensation regardless of ticket type. This applies to Super Saver fares too!

Flex fare when uncertain
If you're unsure whether you can travel, the Flex fare is worth it despite the higher price.
Cancel early
The earlier you cancel, the better. Before the validity date, you have the most options.
Use voucher
Saver fare refunds are issued as vouchers. These are valid for 3 years and transferable.
Document delays
Have delays confirmed by train staff or use app documentation.
Travel insurance
Travel cancellation insurance can help with illness or unforeseen events.
Note deadline
Passenger rights claims must be submitted within one year after the journey.
